Elizabeth Spann Craig
Writers tend to worry a lot about when to call themselves writers. For me, it’s been a no-brainer. Writers write. I knew I was a writer when I was eight years old. A teacher called me a writer a couple of years later, sealing the deal.
I’ve never been one of those people who can do a lot of different kinds of things or who have a good number of talents. I’m a one-trick pony. But writing is a good trick.
I write because I love it. I write to capture daydreams into words. I write to entertain myself and to try to entertain others. Mostly I write because I have no choice in the matter…I feel driven to do it.
