The thing about conniving politicians

They resemble skilled morticians

Who can make the dead appear alive at rest

To prove that they know best

And can will the body to arise

With their curatives of lies

The intention is a trick

To make us see the corpse as merely sick

And implant the notion

That they have the magic potion

To incant the secret cure

That will make us happy and secure

When in fact their single predilection

Is to win the next election

It’s all very theatrical

And to the politician practical

Their most effect tools

Is to think us simple fools

That will believe in their baloney

And not see their smiles are phony

For when all is done and said

That corpse is stone cold dead

And will stay that way

No matter what the politician has to say

Every citizen take note

Never give that jerk your precious vote
