I didn’t mean to write a book. I’m just a scribbler of drawings – the bits of life that interest me. Invited to the first naming of a Eurostar train I discovered it was to be named “Michel Hollard”. Who? Nobody in England or France knew who this man was – but he was called “The man who saved London” Meeting his family and the survivors of his resistance network and drawing all the time I was led deeper and deeper into his story. Until. A French Artist friend looking at my sketchbook said “Jed. You have half a book here already” So four years later I finished the other half and now it’s out: “Le Train de Michel,” a French title for an English Graphic Novel by me: Jed Falby.
